Former Auburn University football player who was convicted of robbery has been sentenced to 15 years behind bars.? ? ?

Antonio Goodwin was convicted about two months ago. He is the first of the four to stand trial on robbery charges in an armed home invasion in 2011.

A probation hearing is set for a later date.?

? ? ? ? ??

Before sentencing, Goodwin apologized "for my action and my poor judgment." He says he has become a better person since the robbery.

Goodwin was denied application for an appeal bond and will have to pay restitution to victims.?

His former teammates Mike McNeil, Dakota Moseley and Shaun Kitchens await trial. McNeil was the starting safety on Auburn's national championship squad.
