step parents?

I was just wondering, for all of you women who have stepchildren, how many do you have? And how long were you married to their dad before having a child of your own? I have a stepson who is three and we?re thinking about having one of our own, but we?ve only been married a year and I?m kinda nervous about it. Any suggestions? Advice? I don?t want to wait a long time, but I?m nervous about the whole thing.

look at how your husband treats your stepson. is he a good daddy and is a rolemodel? it depends on how ready you are and if you think its right. if he is good with his son, has never hurt him,enjoys hanging out with him and teaching him. then he sounds like a wonderful dad. in a way your step son is an advantage and shows you if your husband and you are ready.
